Traiter les animaux de mani\u00e8re responsable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Charte pour la protection des animaux d\u2019Interpharma, \u00abAnimal Welfare Charta\u00bb, a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9e il y a dix ans. En la signant, les entreprises pharmaceutiques pratiquant la recherche en Suisse ont soulign\u00e9 leur responsabilit\u00e9 \u00e9thique en mati\u00e8re d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation animale en Suisse et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger. Les \u00ab3R\u00bb repr\u00e9sentent l\u2019id\u00e9e force de la charte: replace, reduce, refine. Cela veut dire que l\u2019industrie s\u2019engage \u00e0 remplacer dans la mesure du possible les exp\u00e9riences sur animaux par des m\u00e9thodes de substitution (replace), \u00e0 r\u00e9duire le nombre d\u2019animaux de laboratoire (reduce) et \u00e0 diminuer autant que possible les contraintes auxquelles ils sont soumis (refine). Lorsque la charte a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9e en 2010, Christine Egerszegi-Obrist, ancienne conseill\u00e8re aux \u00c9tats et pr\u00e9sidente de la Fondation Recherches 3R, a estim\u00e9 que celle-ci repr\u00e9sentait un engagement de la branche pour des efforts visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir dans le monde entier des normes \u00e9lev\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation animale.
