La plupart des maladies \u00e9mergentes ou r\u00e9\u00e9mergentes de l\u2019\u00eatre humain sont d\u2019origine animale. Des exemples marquants en ont \u00e9t\u00e9, de 2014 \u00e0 2016, les plus graves \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de maladie \u00e0 virus Ebola en date en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, la pneumonie SRAS d\u00e9couverte il y a vingt ans et l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie d\u2019ESB (\u00abmaladie de la vache folle\u00bb) en Grande-Bretagne au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1990. Dans ce contexte, une coop\u00e9ration entre la m\u00e9decine v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire, la m\u00e9decine humaine et les sciences de l\u2019environnement est capitale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette approche globale est appel\u00e9e \u00abOne Health\u00bb. Dans le cadre de ce concept, des expert-e-s des autorit\u00e9s et de la science travaillent ensemble \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir des interd\u00e9pendances et \u00e0 prendre des mesures ad\u00e9quates pour pr\u00e9server la sant\u00e9 humaine et la sant\u00e9 animale dans un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me intact. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9chelon international, cette approche r\u00e9unit l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la Sant\u00e9 (OMS), l\u2019Organisation des Nations unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) et l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 animale (OMSA). En Suisse, quatre office f\u00e9d\u00e9raux concern\u00e9s et d\u2019autres partenaires ont \u00e9tabli la plateforme \u00abOne Health\u00bb en 2017.
